Chinese New Year 2010
Chinese New Year or Spring Festival is the most important of the traditional Chinese holidays. It is also called "Lunar New Year", because it is based on the lunisolar Chinese calendar. The festival traditionally begins on the first day of the first month in the Chinese calendar and ends on the 15th; this day is called Lantern Festival.
You can see my coverage of Chinese New Year in 2006 here and in 2007 here. This year I focused on the lion and dragon dances in Binondo.
The colors in all these photos are wonderful!! Hope you have lots more.

The atmosphere in the street provided an excellent background for the second dragon shot. Love the intense colors and the detail you always get. Very well done.
